2.6 Challenge 2020
About

I am committed to completing 26 hours of rigorous exercise (weightlifting, sit ups and boxing) over 26 days. This will be a challenge because neither of these are easy, given that I am a wheelchair user, I have pupillage interviews and need to complete my masters degree. I will upload photos and videos for your viewing pleasure to show the work is being done!

Supporting the NHS during and after the COVID-19 pandemic is essential to saving lives, protecting NHS staff and preserving Britain's greatest initiative.

'There are more than 230 NHS charities across the UK and most of them focus on helping our hospitals do more. Collectively these charities give £1 million every day to the NHS so that people can stay well for longer and get better faster. In recent years NHS charities have funded major capital projects, pioneering research and medical equipment at our hospitals, helping patients access the best possible care when they need it most. They also play a key role in mobilising volunteers to support NHS staff, brightening wards and waiting areas with colourful and engaging art and building an important link between our hospitals and our communities. Other NHS charities support mental health trusts, community health trusts and ambulance trusts. These vital funds and services are above and beyond what the NHS alone can provide, touching lives and making a huge difference to millions of people when they are at their most vulnerable.' - NHS Charities Together

Day 4:

I may not be a Lannister, but I do pay my debts. After only doing 38 minutes of exercise on Friday, I did 1 hour and 22 minutes of exercise last night. It was tough, but much needed!

Days 5 and 6:

I did 63 minutes of exercise yesterday after a pupillage interview. I did sit ups, free weights and stretching. I didn't do any the day before because I was preparing for the interview, so I owe 53 minutes of exercise. I will do it though!

Day 7:

II did 60 minutes of exercise yesterday. I did resistance bands. I didn't do any exercise on Sunday because I was preparing for an interview. I owe 53 minutes of exercise. I will do some of it now!

Day 8:

Just a quick update to say I did 60 minutes today. Thank you for continuing to support.

Day 8:

I did 94 minutes of exercise today. I now owe 19 minutes of exercise because I didn't do any on Sunday because I was preparing for a pupillage interview.

Day 9:

Today's workout was tough. I did 30 minutes of chest work with weights, which will be featured in Day 11's video, and 30 minutes of core exercises. Thank you for continuing to support!

Day 10:

I took a rest day today, but I will definitely make up the time.
